RILEY RIDGEBACK

We adopted Riley the Rhodesian Ridgeback in June, 2010 when he was nine weeks old. He was a sweet and loving dog but also very protective. Ridgebacks need a lot of discipline and training. They strive to be the alpha dog. So every single day was a training day with much effort letting him know who's the boss. OK, sometimes we let him be the boss. He was very smart and knew many tricks. We bored many family members and friends with his accomplishments. In our defense - he did put his toys away, knew he was a "RIDGEBACK" (and not another breed), knew "right" and "left" and quieted the barking to a whisper when asked.
